Few humans are left from those of the non-human/modified humans who are against them. Now everyone is running from some non humans and modified humans that are driven by killing people and the humans against the others.

background: She has spent most of her life in orphanages. She has now been allowed out. When she was young, and didn't know how to control her emotions, her parents always ignored her. A burning hatred of her parents slowly grew. When they were in an elevator on the top floor of her mother's office building, Emmaline stepped out and the emotion of Hate caused the elevator cable to snap, sending her parents plummeting to their deaths. As Emmaline grew older, she learned to shun all emotions. She now hardly ever reacts to anything.
other info: Has been diagnosed with depression/anxiety but she doesn't think so. Depression and Anxiety are emotions, again, she makes a point not to feel emotions.

"Stop whining," Emmaline said in a voice void of emotion.

Lacey: Jumps hearing people speaking nearby and finds a place to hide

Ashlyn suddenly stopped. "There's someone here," she said. She could sense when people were near by. For what were people but blood and water?
Emmaline stopped, too. "They're afraid," she said.

Ashlyn raised a hand and began pulling the water in the person hiding towards them. A girl was pulled out of a bush. "Hello," Ashlyn said cheerfully, "What are you hiding from?"

Lacey: "The others. You haven't wondered why the population is depleting so quickly?" looking around to see if they were coming

"The others?" Ashlyn said, "Who might they be?"
Emmaline shook her head, sadly. "You can be very dim sometimes, Ashlyn."
