My eyes started to unfocus, everything blackening.

Fox: Dimitri ran through the halls. Finally he reached the infimary and yelled for the nurse on duty. She came running out and together then bent over Shaylee who was on one of the beds. I sat another one, juggling medicine bottles. "Put those down, Fox," Dimitri ordered. I dropped them onto the bedside table.
"I thought you said you had a life." I shrugged casually.
"You're looking at it." I popped my gum.

[Vcheese]

Tandia: I looked at my hand. The skin was already healing. I turned around suddenly, and realization sparked. "Did David make Shaylee a strigoi?" I asked.

Fox: I looked at the girl who had followed us to the infimary. "I don't know." I fingered the gold in my ear. "But if he did...."
"No," Dimitri said. "He didn't. She didn't drink his blood."

[Vcheese]

Tandia: "I'm Tandia, we met earlier, but you were sordave in pain" I said shrugging. I nodded at Dimitri. "thought so, bit I wasn't sure."

[Vcheese]

Fox: I looked at her. "We met? You're obviously not very memorable."

oh that means bye? oh...bye....

I let out a gut-wrenching cough, struggling to stay conscious. If this was how dieing felt like then I guess being tortured felt better.

Fox: The nurse shooed Dimitri away and bent over Shaylee. She did some doctorly stuff on her that I ignored. Instead I examined the ceiling.

[Cali]

Everything around me blackened and my eyes fluttered shut. One last breath, one that was filled with struggle, left me and I felt my strength leave me.

[Kate-Anders(unnie)]

Fox: No more gagging or coughing or breathing. I looked at Shaylee. The nurse stepped back and looked at Dimitri.
"Hell no." I jumped off the bed and landed next to Shaylee's. "You don't get to die. You owe me a head band." I slammed my hands onto her sternum. "Wake the f%*k up!" Dimitri grabbed me and pulled me back. I struggled against him, but I couldn't overpower him. He was a dhampir and I was just a Moroi.

She felt her soul leaving her but she still struggled to hang on. A small breath left her, one filled with pain.

[Kate-Anders(unnie)]

Fox: "Get off me!" A blast of air knocked Dimitri across the room. I jumped on the bed, straddled Shaylee, and grabbed her shoulders. "Wake up," I snarled in her face. "I might hate your guts, but you're also the only person that good possibly be my friend. So, wake the f$&k up."

[Cali]

She heard Fox yelling and she continued to struggle to come back.

[Kate-Anders(unnie)]

Fox: I slapped Shaylee across the face and pounded my fists on her chest. "Are you def?! Wake up!"
"She's dead," the nurse said. I could hear fear in her voice. I didn't know which it was for, my mental stability or the fact that Dimitri was only now pushing himself off the floor.
"No she's not!" I slapped Shaylee again.

Shaylee felt pain on her cheek and she just held onto that. A breath left her, then more and more left her until she was fully breathing.

Fox: Shaylee's chest rose underneath me. "It's alive!" I shouted.

[Cali]

She tried to make a snide remark but she didn't have enough strength to come up with one. "Get off." She choked out.

[Kate-Anders(unnie)]

Fox: I rolled over and propped myself on my elbow.
Dimitri walked up behind me and looked down. My eyes grew wide.
"Hi."
"How are you feeling?" he asked Shaylee.

[Cali]

"Like shit."

[Kate-Anders(unnie)]

Fox: Phew. He hadn't hauled me off to the head master and spilled the shit that I was a Moroi.
"That's better than dead," I said knowingly.

[Cali]

Her eyes fluttered open, revealing the color of green ice. "Not really."

[Kate-Anders(unnie)]

Fox: "I beg to differ," I said. "Being dead would be absolutely unpleasant. Cold and moldy and decaying and ugly." I shuddered at the last one. "Is anyone else hungry?"

[Cali]

"No." I closed my eyes falling asleep immediately.
