Xander walked the streets, drawing the wamdering eye of strolling young women. He hardly paid them any mind. Suddenly, a young woman with blood red hair caught his eye.

Xander arched an eyebrow. Where was that girl going? She looked very focused on where ever she was headed. He followes her in true Rifter fashion. He was virtually invisible.

Eventually, Xander's curiousity got the better of him. He stepped out where the girl could. "Young ladies such as yourself shouldn't be wandering the streets without an escort," he said, in keeping with the city's standards, "Where would you be heading this fine day, young miss? I would be happy to escort you there." To him, all this politeness was unnessecary(sp). Back home, he would have just said 'where you goin?'. Stupid city customs...

"Then let me come with you," Xander said, dropping the city's politeness, "Where're you goin'?"

Xander shrugged. "I'm bored. The city annoys me. Nothing better to do," he shrugged again, "Whole list of answers, take your pick."

"At least tell me where you're going? Perhaps your name?" Xander said. He made a subtle motion with his hand and skipped stones over the dirt street without touching them.

Xander shrugged again. "Aw well. I guess I'll be going then. But, just to see if I was right, you were going to that building, right?" He pointed to the place "Dementia" had been walking to.

"Whatever you say...," Xander said, "Anyways, if you don't want me along, I have some lunch to steal." The booth he had seen a few blocks back had been well stocked with only a fat, sleeping merchant as a guard. Too easy.

Xander waited waited, virtually invisible, to see where "Dementia" went. Then went back to the booth and easily stole an apple. He then waited for Dementia, leaning against a wall.
