It started with one. Then it spread.
Quarantined and still it spread. It mutated...
It began to cover the world in it's plauge infecting everything.
Soon Nations defended themselves,
but it became unstoppable. People retreated to the world's
toughest places to hold out against this force.
A force that was neither dead, nor alive.

They were infected....

Date: 21 Weeks after the Infection

Infected:
They are not dead, but they are called zombies. It is different from person to person. Most people just become night-loving people of their own kind. Extremely hostile to anything that is not part of their own. Usually they travel in groups of anywhere from 100 to 500 people. Traveling in search of food and their blood lust for those who are not infected. They can be anywhere from extremely fast to extremely slow and either be strong or be weak. Some have kept their minds. Being able to think and speak. It is not uncommon but they still have the same sickness infecting their mind and creating them into the same savages like their breathren. These are actually looked upon to be leaders. Only very few get horrifically mutated creating powers like strength, stealth, and acidic spit.

Carriers:
Probably the only safe people upon the world that still have humanity's last hope. To be immune or resistant to the infection. Traveling in small groups is their only hope while navigating from their homes to extraction points. They are the survivors.

Safe Rooms:
Governments usually build these in strategic locations so survivors can rest without being attacked while they sleep.

please, no super-superpowers, and please! Post wayyy more than one sentence. More like a paragraph or two. This is what y'all's would call an advanced roleplay.

But wait. There's more!

People who do not get "Infected" Actually are immune.
(More Information)-- Take the Black Plauge. Killed many people but those who didn't get sick actually carried the disease. And because they traveled the disease spreaded. So thats the concept here. You can be bitten and not be infected, but also not everyone is perfectly immune, some might get sick for a while, throw up, fever, and some may go zombified and just come back out. Those people who can recover from being infected are very rare. But mostly survivors are carriers. And people who do Evacuations, they usually want the survivors to be carriers. Also zombies will horde sometimes. AKA Car Alarm goes off, Any Alarm goes off. They will swarm without a second's waste. The basic infected have no mind, they are just instincts, and get very hostile to anything that moves, besides eachother, they can smell survivors but most of the time will not attack until approached. A zombie could see you from far away and not attack, until you get close then they charge. Most will actually watch their friends die until they realize its a carrier. So have fun messing with Infected. But a few carrier surviving points are usually the Military which through sheer numbers started to form back up and figured out there were carriers. They only want carriers, this is a dark time. Someone starts changing, they are usually killed.
But if your bitten and not immune or resiliant then yes you will change to them. Infected can usually tell if your a carrier or not.
Also on second note I got an idea from games to have the Mutated ones or Special Infected. Zombies that can leap great distances are usually called Hunters and some zombies grew long tongues called Smokers because they will explode with a gasious cloud. But still they give out growls and warnings to survivors. Think of how creepy it will be when Carriers (Survivors sorry forgot to point that out that they can be carriers too) are locked in a saferoom, safe, and they keep hearing something crawling on the roof growling... lol So yea thats the basic concept. This is a little more detail.
Last but not least the time is around summer. The sun shines bright and the nights are just as bright.)

(omg this is such a great horror story concept. I saw a movie like this, well had the zombie concept but instead of turning into a zombie you basically get your guts ripped out and..wow..just not pleasent..)

History:She was a normal girl from a normal family, until it hit. She realized that she was a carrier and immune to the disease far too late. She did parkour,fencing, karate after school on most days before it hit, so she's a fairly good fighter. She learnt to use guns later, when she was running. After all the movie marathons she had with her friends she picked up some things, believe it or not.
Other:
She travels by herself afraid to hurt others or infect them, she hates her solitude but knows its what she has to do. Shes always running and terrified but manages to look calm...ish.

Weapon: She can use anything she can get her hands on but for the time being, she currently has a wicked looking tactical knife that was passed down from her family and her brother's pistol.

Description: Starr is about 5'8, about 125 lbs with a muscular but not overly big build. She has lips that always seem to have a slight pout to them and always seem to be the color of strawberries. Starr also has a scar from a previous car accident when she was younger, starting from the top of her neck on the right side and going all the way across her chest to her left hip.
Skin tone: Sunlit tan in the summer/fall but porcelain colored skin in the winter/spring.
Eyes: People say they're more gray than green but its a mix with an inner ring of amber.
Hair color: Dyed numerous times so a mixture of blonde highlights, red streaks, deep natural brown, golden brown and burgundy.
-Length: Recently cut it to where it just barely covered her neck.
Past Job: Working at her grandfather's Irish pub in Massachusetts

History: Starr came from Irish/Italian decent, her mother strict and loving, her father caring but with a temper when stressed. Her and her brother were close. She was with her boyfriend when the infection hit. She found out she was a carrier a week after it hit. She had to kill her brother and parents in order to survive for they had turned. She did kickboxing, also learning to become a police officer before it hit.
Other: She travels by herself, not knowing if others are alive. She can be high-strung at times but is usually quiet and to herself.

Infected: It's strange. She flips back and forth. Either she seem like a perfectly well and normal person, or she is a complete zombie. There is no medium. She tries to stay sane, and there is the once in a while where she will have half of her mind. She gained increased speed and is slightly stronger, and thinks she can see things better, it's almost as if she can see through them.

Description: She has a feral look around her, and her eyes seem crazed. She is gaunt, and the dirt and blood has formed a layer of grime. Her hair is a tangled mess. She is shorter than average, and her face has scratches on it.
Skin tone: She used to be a healthy tan. Now her skin seems almost gray.
Eyes: A pale green, and bloodshot
Hair color: Red, streaked with dirt
-Length: down her back
Past Job: working with her mom and dad at their restaurant.

History: Her mom and dad are both dead, at least, now they are. The zombies could tell her mom was a Carrier, and killed her, then lost control. Her dad died. She and her sister were lucky to escape, with a bag of food and some bottled water. But she was ill. Rana ran a constant fever after the zombie attack, and started vomiting. Her eyes went bloodshot, and she grew thin, even though she was eating. One day, that she will never try to remember, she turned on her sister. She had no mind. Her sister grabbed her shoulder, and all of a sudden, she burned with thirst. She knows her sister's scars will never fade. She's uptight and temperamental, used to be cautious, more shy...
Other: Joan is her sister, her twin, her identical twin.

Carrier: She knew Starr from when she was a kid, and has been traveling with her ever since her sister, Rana, was infected.
Weapon: She has a pistol, and two daggers, along with her training- she knows how to fight. Her sister- she did gymnastics

Description: She's shorter than average, and there are healing cuts on her face and arms. She is slim, wiry, strong, and always wears her hair in a ponytail.
Skin tone: well tanned, freckles on face
Eyes: dark green
Hair color: Thick and black

Past Job: Working with her mom and dad at their restaurant.

History: She helped get Rana out when the zombies came. When her sister attacked her, she didn't know what to think. The one person she had always though she could count on, had turned on her. That hurt, even though she thinks Rana was infected. Now the cuts will stay forever, as scars, a reminder down her face and arms, of what her sister did. After that, her sister seemed crazy all the time, and no matter how much she wanted to stay with her sister, she couldn't. After awhile she met up with Starr...
