Lucy: I smiled at her; she thought I was a racer. If she knew me she'd know that I can barely drive a car on a nairboorhood street let alone race a car. "No, I'm a chief engineer."

Connor : I peel my shirt off and stuff part of it into my pocket. I bend down an take a glance under the car. I let out a deep breath and pull out a couple of skateboards. I set one aside and sit down on the other. I grab a wrench and lie down, sliding underneath. I flip on the switch for the light. One last look, that's all she needs.

(Then anyone can walk in and interrupt Connor ^^)

Connor : I Sit up abruptly when my phone rings. I answer it while rubbing my forehead. Never sit up like that under a car.
"Hello?" I answer, sliding out from under the car slowly.

Lucy: "If your touching the car I will personally punch you in the gut. I will know if you have or not. Oh, can you pick me up?" I say cheerfully.

Connor : I roll my eyes and stand up, looking for my keys. "Yeah sure. I'll be right there. And I didn't mess with too much, chill. See you on a few," I add before sliding my phone shut. I pull my shirt out of my pocket and toss it on to a work bench before getting into my car and heading off to pick Lucy up.

Lucy: I stand outside the garage tapping my foot. I have my jumper tied at the waist and my welder's helmat in my hand.

I laughed at their conversation, "I could've given you a lift, but no matter. I stood outside and waited with her.

Connor : I have all the windows down as I race for the garage up on the hill. The cool air feels really good after workin under te car. It gets hot down there. When I pull up, Lucy's out front with some other girl. I get out and walk around the front to where they stand. I lean against the passenger door. "Hey." I greet with a smile.

Lucy: I open the driver's door and punch Conner. Then I get in.

Connor : I wince, opening the passenger door and nodding. "Yeah, you're, um, Dayna, right?" I ask her, half smiling now. She seems like a good racer. "I guess I'll see you later," I salute her and hop in right as Lucy takes off. She barely gives me enough time to close my door.

Connor : I close my eyes and lean back against the seat. "You're going to leave me alone. And you know it," I grin to myself. "You're lucky I let you drive." I chuckle to myself.

Connor : I open my eyes and turn my head to look over at Lucy. "You're right. If you left mr alone, all I'd hve to do around here is watch grass grow. Not fun," I elbow her back.

Connor : i freeze. And I'd never see Avery again. My hand curls into a fist on the dashboard. "Yeah, that would suck." I say half heartedly after a moment. The second we're back at the garage, I'm out of the car and searching for my skateboard. I just really need a distraction right now.
