Janine: I turn away from the children, and back to Desmond. He seems to be in deep conversation with Blue. Wait, I thought he could only talk in my head. I roll my eyes and stride over, poking Desmond's shoulder. He turns his bright green gaze on me and blinks in slight surprise before breaking into a smile.
"So you're a dragon trainer now?" he asks in awe. I shrug like it's nothing, but smile back.
"Yeah, apparently." I turn to Blue. He just settles down and begins to nibble on the grass.

Stacey floated over to Blue and the others, her dragon weeks working. She strokes Blue's neck like he liked as she hummed softly.

Desmond: I watch as the dragon's - Blue's, I mean - eyes narrow in content, like a cat's. He raises a thick whisker and wraps it around the little girl and gives her a light squeeze, like a hug. I half smile and just realize I've got Janine in this half hug, with only one arm around her. But she doesn't seem to mind. She's even leaning into me a little. I look away from her before she gives me one of her infamous "what the hell?" looks and pulls away.

Stacey hugged Blue back, giggling and blushing.

(Blue) The girl is much different. I have this...not exactly a bad feeling, but it's definitely not good, he murmurs into the Guardian's mind uncertainly. There'd only been one other - a dragon trainer - that had been the best. It was over a thousand years ago, Blue had been much younger then, but he remembers well. That trainer had stopped wars between the dragon tribes; he'd even been at the head of the Hundred Year war. He stopped it. And when he finally got the chance to make it right between he and his lover, the trainer had chosen wrong. Power had clouded his mind and it also clouded the mind of his people.
Blue shakes out a shiver, his eyes flickering to the young girl. Trainers could be foolish, and he didn't want this one to fall for something so sinful. Pride. Greed. Janine the Trainer meets his gaze with an innocent one of her own. Blue manages to smile as best as a dragon can. She doesn't suspect a thing.

Stacey frowned at Blue, knowing what he meant. I'm sure she's not going to be like the other, Blue. Stop worrying, 'Kay? I know everything's going to be okay.

(Blue) His ears twitched and his eyes flickered over to where the Trainer was listening to what the other boy was saying. I sure hope so, he thinks absently. Blue didn't want to have to kill another Trainer in his lifetime.

Janine: I have to look away from Desmond as he explains to me what happened; what caused him to take his own life. I look up slightly, concentrating on keeping tears from spilling over. When the silence is obviously too much for him, I force myself to look over and nod understandingly, playing the best friend roll. But as I look at him, how pleading he looks to understand, I have to tell him. I have to tell him it was my fault. I can't though. I just...I'll do later. I have to give it time, you know??

Stacey frowned deeper, Blue it's gonna be okay. Alright? She'll be different from the other. I have this feeling that things are going to be different.

[Cali]

Genevieve whimpered, backing away from the girl a bit. "I-I.." she whispered, not knowing how to respond.

Genevieve froze with fear upon feeling a hand touch her shoulder. She whimpered loudly as her hands glowed a bright bright purple. "Ahh, Antony. Haven't seen you in a while. Oh! Genny's here too. Glad to see you, still looking good as always. How did you like your little gift?" A voice chuckled. She suddenly screamed as a burning agonizing pain ignited in her chest, where the scar met her heart. Tears streamed from her eyes as she fell to her hands and knees, crying and screaming bloody murder.
