"Don't go. Please," Mayann said quietly, trying not to wake the others. Jordan Air turned around slightly, just enough to look at her in the eyes. "I can't. You know I can't..." "You vowed," She said. "Please, try to understand," his eyes turned to the floor. "What is there to understand? You promised you won't go until after graduation!" He sat down beside her, holding her hand. "Please," he whispered, "I'll come back. This I vow. I must go, but I'll be back. And when I come, I want to see you right here. Can you do that for me?" Jordan put in her hand an engagment ring of blue and white diamonds before walking away. Mayann watched quietly as he faded from sight.

It's been six months since Jordan Air left Mayann's life. He was the only boy who had ever asked her out, who she actually thought of spending a life with. The ring he gave her still sits in her small jewlery box, never been worn, for she vowed she'd never wear it until she knew he would come back. Right beside her all through it were her two best friends, Garrett and Lynn. Garrett watched carefully, for secretly he had the deepest crush on Mayann that only Lynn knew about. Lynn stayed beside them. Now graduation grows near and Lynn wonders if Jordan will ever return, but hopes he doesn't, and wonders when Garrett will make his move on Mayann. Mayann wonders each day what will happen. And though she makes it seem she has gotten over Jordan, she wonders if she really has. She feels danger coming closer. The night he left haunts her dreams nearly every night. She can't sleep sometimes, in fear of seeing his face...

Once there was the sun. Bright and burned. And then there was the moon, cold and yet comforting. They only stood strong for the people they watched beneithed them. But secretly each of them hurt. The moon rarely was with the sun, and even when it was, it was too faded that many didn't even know it was there. The sun was always seen as a god. As the main reason many get up. But the moon felt as if it was only meant to make the sun feel even more important. Never did it know that it was also important and looked for. All it thought was about how the sun got everything. Jelous... No, not really. It just self pitied itself for now being the best that everyone claimed the sun was. The sun just thought about the people that was burned because of it. Never did it realize all the good it did. Though the moon tried to tell it over and over again, it never believed it. Both wished to become something more, never knowing the good they already created. The worry. The chill. The burning. All yet dead.
