Ariel : I know grandma and grandpa are trying to breakdown the front door to get me out of the house but i don't move. I stay in bed, holding Miffy tightly. I stare at the white wall to my side and feel the warm sun making its way through the glass from the window ,on the other side of me, touch the back of my head.
Mom....
she was dead now, she had gone to work early and some drunk driver had killed her on her way there...
i didn't say be careful because i had slept in....
i never forgot to do that...
her death was all my fault..

Maria : I pushed myself up till i was sitting up, i turned my face to the owner of the finger that touched down on my forehead. I blinked at her, my memory foggy. "Wheres Ariel. Miffy?" My eyes shot open and i jumped up. "He'll forget to feed himself, hold on let me call hi-" I didn't feel my phone in my pocket, and when i doubled checked it i found that my dress was stained with ...blood...
"what happened.." i found myself whispering.

"I'm afraid you were killed by a drunk driver." Celeste answered, frowning deeply. "Maria, you must tell me everything you remember."

Maria : As i stare at the girl i realize shes right. I remember instantly. " I was driving, it was dark because it was around 4 in the morning...i own a store in new york, a ramen shop....i was just merging into the high lane when ...when a man sped into my car and...and i swerved off the road and into a lake..."

Maria : one of my hands goes over my eyes, i feel the tears there but hold my voice steady. "My son and his cat....You see..the little guy won't eat sometimes,it makes him sick but he never listens to me. thats why i have to be there to make sure hes eating," I say and remove my hand from my face. "I have to go back to make sure hes okay."

"I'm afraid you won't be able to, Maria." Celeste said softly, her frown staying, eyes apologizing. "You're in the afterlife. The only way you can see you're son is if he comes here. Some people are able to move to the afterlife without dieing so they can change the future."

Maria : I stared at her for a moment, i didn't understand her completely.."Will it hurt him if he comes here? How can he come here?"
The little idiot couldnt survive with out me...

Ariel :
"Jonathan, open the door!" Its granddad yelling. I hear the slam slam slam slam slam of his fist against the door downstairs. I raise my head in an effort to make myself move to them but again i just fall back into bed.
My name was Ariel, not Jonathan. He refused to call me that because he said it sounded girly...pfft...like i cared. ..not that i cared for much now. Tomorrow life would be life and id still be living in it...and that was all there is.

"Once he sleeps he'll awake in a field. Others will be there. And it will not hurt him." Celeste explained.
