Lara huried to the wagon to help Dolly clean and pack everything up. It didn't take very long.
Champ danced around a bit when she first mounted.
"Easy, boy," Lara whispered, and he calmed down.

[Charlie]

"Sweety you dont have to ride back her with me. Go where your more comfortable." Dolly smiled. She was tall thin with blond hair and big boobs.
When Randy walked toasted Lu she bucked a bit. "Easy girl. It's just me." he stroked her neck got her ready, then he mounted her. "Round up the cows." he called.
This took all of five mintues. They got in there places. Randy tapped his hat and they began moving again.

Lara smiled at Dolly and moved out with the others. Riding along on Champ, she whistled a lively tune.
After a while, the big black horse began to act up again, and Lara whispered calming words to him.

[Charlie]

Randy would check back every now and again. He needed to make sure the four of them were working in sink, to keep the back half of the heard up with the front half. To make sure the sides didn't get to wide. Cattle drives were a precise process. Of course, this trip just on horseback, took about a day. But it took two to get their when hearding. They had one more day ahead of them. He hoped he would be able to take the last watch. That or the first. In his opinion those were the best. You could stay up late, or wake up early, and not be bothered by waking up then going back to sleep.

The rest of the ride seemed to go by slowly. Lara realized she was getting saddle-sore from riding long hours. Hopefully she'd get used to it soon.
Eventually the sun began to drop lower in the sky, and Lara figured that they would make camp soon.

[Charlie]

"Randy, we got a loose one!" one of the others yelled. It was Randy's job to get the ones that escape, because if need be he could jump the fences and other things.
"Lara can you take over for point," he raced off. "Thanks!"
He jumped the fence and pulled his lasso off his saddle he was ganging off the calf. The calf jumped a fence and he easily cleared it. He lassoed the calf.
Jumping off Lu who then slowed down he made the loop go more around the calves neck he hopped back on his horse and lead the calf back to the heard. "Thanks for takin over."
He smiled as he took the rope off the calf he hooked the reigns on the saddle horned as he straightened it out and put it back in it's place.

Lara had moved in to his position, when Randy went to get the calf. After watching them heard, she had picked up the gist of the job.
"No problem," she answered, grinning. She was greatful for the break from the norm.

[Charlie]

"That camp up there, with the coral for the cows is where we'll spend the night." he announced to her.
What he pointed to was an old run down shack, that looked like a lean to, and a large fenced area, easily big enough to fit all the cows.

[Charlie]

They headed closer to the decent sized coral. Within at least thirty minutes the cows were all in the coral.
Dolly had parked the wagon and began to light the fire. Two of the cowboys went to get firewood. "You and Dolly can sleep inside." he pointed to the lean to type structure, that was well covered and fairly clean. "We gotta stay out here watch the cows." he smiled as he took the saddle off Lu and rested it on the fence post, he hung his hat on the saddle horn He then tied Lu to the fence.
He unpacked a few things and handed them to Dolly she handed him a case and he placed it up against a fence post.
He then went to gather wood. When he came back his guitar case was gone.

(cough cough... Ziva... cough cough)

"Okay," She replied, smiling.
Lara unsaddled Champ, and rubbed him down. Her big black horse was sweaty and grimy from the trek. She made a mental note to wash him well when they returned.
Lara took note of Randy's guitar case with interest. She didn't know he could play. With a mental shrug, the girl climbed into the wagon to help prepare the meal.

[Charlie]

He went to where Dolly and Naava were preparing food, "Dolly did you do something with my case?" he asked not really wanting to reveal that he played guitar in front of Lara after all he was just a learner. "Did one of them take it?" he referenced the three cowboys who were now playing around the fire.
Dolly shook her head.
"Thanks." he gave his genuine smile and ducked out with a wave.
"So Lara how are liking the drive so far? The people?" she smiled as she got cans of Beene out, along with bread and a bit of treated meat.

Lara glanced up when Randy came in, and her brow furrowed a moment. She had just seen the case...
"So Lara how are you likeing the drive so far? The people?" Dolly asked, cutting through the girl's thoughts.
Lara smiled, "I like the drive a lot. It's nice to be out riding all day, even though I'm a little saddle sore. As for the people, I don't know anyone but you and Randy. He's a great friend,"
The girl flicked on the portable Bunsen Burner, flushing slightly.

[Charlie]

(Sorry... Oh and it would be a old Coleman grill this is the 1950s and a colaman grill has two burners on it)

Dolly smiled she had a knack for spotting friendships and things of the sort. "He's a good boy. May be you can get him over his fear." she suggested. She grabbed the large cast iron skill and placed it onthe larger of the two burners. She put butter in and began moving it around with the spatula.

((Okey dokey ))

Lara glanced up at her uncertainly. "What fear?"
The girl had noticed him sometimes acting weirdly on his horse, but she wanted confirmation.

[Charlie]

"Well, like you know he had a bad acciden when he was younger. Fell off his horse after she bucked. He was never really the same since. He gets really odd when ever some one else falls off a horse. And if his own horse does even the slightest buck he vets scared. You would think a champion jumper wouldn't be phased by falling off a horse," she laughed, "Guess temporary paralyzation does that. So in short he is deathly afraid of falling off horses. But enough of me rambling." she smiled as she placed the meat on the pan, "Don't tell him I told ya, he hates people to know, not even the boys out there know."

[Ziva :)]

Lara nodded, her brow furrowed. It explained a lot, but she still hadn't really been expecting that. "I won't say a word,"
The girl quickly finished heating the beans, and soon it was time for dinner. While Dolly called the boys in, Lara searced around until she found her violin, and moved it into easy reach.

[Charlie]

"What's wrong Randy?"
"Still can't find the case." Randy replied, trying to smile. He loved Dolly's cooking. He grabbed, beans, and a bun, and put the sloppy meat substance on it.
Sloppy Joes, and beans were a good meal on the frontier.
Dolly frowned at him, but then he passed, and she served the others. They had just enough.
Randy sat on a log, and called Lara to sit next to him, after she got her food.

"Thanks, Dolly," Lara said as she picked up a plate, and went to sit by Randy. She was famished.
"How do you like the food?"

[Charlie]

"No problem." Dolly said, as she took her own stuff. She smiled, she had a feeling, and her feelings were never wrong.
"It's brilliant." He smiled, as he scooped up beans with a spoon. "Trail food always has a special taste to it, that I just love." Randy looked at her, "Something wrong?" He asked.

[Ziva :)]

Lara smiled at him, "No, eveything's fine. I'm glad you like it, and I have to agree with you. A girl could get used to being out here,"
She made no mention of what Dolly had told her, but Lara was determined to help him. She'd be subtle.

[Charlie]

He smiled. He loved coming back he was always last to return. Return trips were shorter since it was them and their horse, with the cattle it took twice as long. "It's nice." He looked up at the clear sky the big dipper smiling down at him.

[Ziva :)]

Lara followed his gaze, smiling as she did so. The girl had never seen so many stars.
"Do you know all of the constelations?" she asked, scouting out familiar ones. "There's Orion, and Leo, and of course the big dipper,"

[Charlie]

He laughed, "I know the common ones, like Scorpio, Gemini, Cassiopeia, Draco, Libra, Pegasus, Sagittarius, Taurus, Virgo, the sort." He pointed them out as he said them. Some weren't in visible at the time so he told her those, and pointed to where they would be.

[Ziva :)]

"Cool," Lara muttered, trying to remember them all. "I only knew very few,"
She finished her dinner, and set her plate in the wagon, hesitating over whether or not she should get out her fiddle.

[Charlie]

Randy yawned, and washed his plate off in the water, that the boys had set over the fire. He grabbed the marshmallow stuff, and passed it out. Finding sticks, he passed those out as well. "Hope you like mallows." he said, sticking the marshmallow over the fire.
